Does anyone know of somewhere that I can get old copies of the Irish Indepedent from the last year? I'm looking for copies of particular articles and the web versions are not adequate. I'm specifically looking for copies of the original paper. I contacted the Independent themselves, but they don't run such a service.

One of the university libraries should have it on microfiche I'd say.

The city library on Pearse st is what you are looking for. Go to the upstairs section. They should be able to help you.

I don't know how long it takes for newspapers to be put on microfilm but I would agree with dublin city libraries.

I would also check the national library they might have them or be able to tell you exactly where you would find them. The newspaper archive in the national library is absolutely amazing.

EDIT: how do I miss the bold writing, if you have no luck locating original copies, microfilm is your best bet!
