Just a heads up, I was doing what I thought was an appropriate speed (60 kph) in the inside lane and I nearly lost it badly on the straight bit before the airport roundabout.

Just a heads up to anyone going that way

I came out the link from the city centre and up the road from the kinsale road roundabout. It's passable but slow right down. I'm sure it will improve as more traffic passes over it but it was the scariest five seconds I ever had behind the wheel

Watch Forge Hill and Pouladuff too. They're bad.

Douglas and the South Ring are fine though, but please don't tailgate, the amount of retards tailgaiting is ridiculous.

What are the chances of getting to Blackpool shopping center from Fermoy around midday??

I would say no bother. There is a good sun out at the moment. The M8 should be fine by then. I cancelled my trips today aswell. Its not worth it.

I assume the route to take would be the By-pass then head into the city > across flyover @ Silversprings > Head on to blackpool ??

Actually if you wanted to avoid the Silversprings hill (up and down into Mayfield on the other side) I would head into the city centre along the quays, straight, until you turn right for the Heineken brewery and out to Blackpool that way.

I agree. Dont bother going through Glanmire. I would say Silversprings should be ok now though.
