Other Guy

I'm in a very happy relationship with my boyfriend and have been for most of the last year. I love him very, very much - in fact, I've never been this crazy about anyone before. Everything is great in our relationship - my only complaint is that I don't seem him more often :P I love him and I need him and I would never do anything to mess up what we have.

My problem is that I find myself attracted to another guy. We've met a few times, and there's a definite spark there. He's easy to talk to, good looking and we get on great. There's been a little bit of flirting, mostly on his side (he knows I'm in a relationship) but nothing else. The last time I felt a spark like this was when I met my current boyfriend.

I find myself thinking about this other guy more and more frequently. I do NOT want to act on my feelings - there is just no way that I could do that to my boyfriend or to myself. I want advice on what I should do in this situation. How can I make these feelings and thoughts disappear? It's not possible for me never to see this guy again so I can't entirely cut contact. I just don't like feeling so confused. Any help would be appreciated :)

    Well what do you want?
Is it the fresh spark what you seek in a relationship? Perhaps you're not into having a long term relationship past the honeymoon stage?

If you do want to stay with your boyfriend, minimizing contact might be best, and perhaps a mental mantra of "I don't like him." whenever you start to think about this guy.
Do you think being honest with your boyfriend help?

You're flattered that this other guy likes you. There's nothing wrong with that unless you act on it.

You don't really know this other guy at all though. You know your boyfriend, and you know the two of you get on like a house on fire. It's quite a common thing to be fancied, or to fancy someone else while in a relationship. What's not so common though is what you have with your boyfriend. Don't let it go whatever you do : )
