    Hi all,

I' currrently undertaking a full time masters.

I'm aware that it is possible to claim tax back of up to 5000 which i would be entitled to as my course was 6000e. I'm wondering how much of a tax refund am I entitled too and how do i recieve this.
i beleive it too be 20% of 5000 so 1000e but i'm uncertain if i'm calculating this correctly.

Of course it would be my parents claiming this as they paid for it and i'm not working.

    Any info much appreciated.

Form is called: "Claim for Tax Relief in Respect of Tuition Fees for Third Level Education"

attached. search the revenue.ie website for specifics on it.
It is 20% back but I'm not sure of the limit.

It's a credit against PAYE paid- no PAYE no credit- perhaps your parents might be able to claim it- further info on it in the stickies

It's a credit against income tax paid - it's not limited to PAYE. If, as you say, your parents paid the fees then it's they who get the credit. Your calculation of the credit is impeccable!
