101 = Renewal subject to submission of valid medical report

I have this on my full B license as i'm a diabetic.

I always thought that 101 ment it was your first licence, but checking on my licence it is indeed for the medical report.

You don't have to have a medical condition to be required to undergo a medical examination. It's a mandatory requirement for renewal of a licence in certain categories.

Just realised now; the above require a medical report even if you do not have a medical condition. Hence the 101 restriction. So when you go to renew your license you will have to provide a new medical report.

In my case, I need a report for my B license due to a medical condition.

    [EDIT] Too slow![/EDIT]

Yes, when they don't impinge on each other.

You would not however be permitted to apply for two learner permits where it is a requirement to have a full licence in one category befor applying for a permit in another. e.g. car and bus or car and truck.

    A person with a full category B licence could have a learner permit in A, C1, C, D, D1.
