engine light on after big freeze

    Hey folks - the car was lying up for a couple of days during the snow - went to start it and started fine half way down the road it cut out and engine light came on and had to get it towed - i have since started it on an off it lasts for 5 mins then cuts itself out - its a 02 primera any ideas ?cheers

    I would take a guess at one of the sensors and seeing that the engine light is on you should be able to get the codes checked out to see which one it is.

    cheers its a 1.6 petrol engine, but yea diagnositcs will be the only way i guess - just thought the fact its starting and driving but cutting out after 5 mins is strange - ah well we shall see !

    If you give your location then somehere with a code reader/diagnostic equipment maybe able to help out..:)
