Funniest forum I've ever read !

The bit where they have the 3 scientific experiments to prove the world is flat is priceless - and to qualify it, they claim that if the world was round, the Aussies would fall off ! :D

Especially as they have continued it for 285 pages! Now that's dedication to satire!

Thanks for sharing the link , Ive read a few threads and im dumbfounded , ive quite honestly never read anything like it . I always knew that there were plenty of right wing Christian nuts in america but i didnt think it was this bad , i feel like it could be the biggest punk in history but its obviously not.

    Heres one crazy thread
    http://www.landoverbaptist.net/showthread.php?t=54820&page=2

The only comparison to some people on that thread is the way some citizens of north korea have been brainwashed into believing crazy myths about kim jung il and his father before him kim il sun , who is still the president of north korea.

I was thinking it all a joke but didn't think that it could be so elaborate. I wonder are there many posters there that arent from the fake church being genuine?

    Is that site a piss take? Take for example the following thread;
For Thanksgiving, I beat Our Savior into a homeless child!

    Hello Friends!

I don't know about everyone here, but I get so excited whenever I have a chance to spread the Good Word, and witness to someone who has never had the opportunity to hear about God!

While I was walking downtown on Thursday, filled with anticipation of the gathering of the family, the kids having some quiet time with the Bible, as well as some "rowdy" time with a game or two of checkers, the delicious turkey, stuffing and pies that were being made at that very moment, I took a few minutes to count some Blessings.

As I was mulling over my blessings, I noticed a child, perhaps ten years of age, clearly many days since a solid meal, and dressed in cast-off clothing, holding out a cup and helping and elderly blind man beg. I realized that my blessings had not been visited upon him, probably because of the lack of a Godly influence in his life!

The waif looked like no one had taken notice of him, or spoken to him about the Good News of The Lord before, and I instantly felt His Holy Presence fill me like a hostess cupcake. I reached into my coat pocket for my portable King James Bible, and started Witnessing! After ten or twenty passages, mostly off the top of my head, I thought The Lord would guide me in choosing some especially appropriate passages that might crack this child's atheist shell.

Lo! My finger came to rest on Proverbs 22! Clearly God led both of us on this path, to meet here!

    I read:

    Proverbs 22:15
Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him.

    and then,

    Proverbs 23:13
Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die.

    And then, I flipped to:

    Proverbs 29:15
The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame.

My next steps, unmistakably guided by God, could not be wrong. I don't usually carry heavy items around, but I had picked up a pair of very heavy Barbecue tongs to get ready for next summer. I retrieved these, and with all The Lord's might and the weight of Scripture behind me, I laid into this kid for all I was worth. The demons in him were causing him to try to get away, but he was pretty much backed into a corner and could not escape. I swear I just about heard Angelic singing as I was hitting him, and quoting Scripture with my strongest, most commanding voice. The blind man was doing a lot of shouting, but I was too wrapped up in God's Work to really understand what he was saying.

After only a minute or so of this, the boy held his hands in the air, and was shouting "Jesus! Jesus Christ! Oh Jesus!" At that point, I knew he had seen the light! Praise the Lord, another Soul Saved! I put my hand on his bloody head, and as he went to his knees, I went to mine, and said a quick prayer. I got up to go, as several sirens were getting louder, and I have no wish to be caught up in any shenanigans with criminals, so as he slumped to the ground in a Holy Fervor, I departed, with a huge smile on my face, and God's Grace in my heart.

My Friends, Blessed are we that can bring light into an otherwise miserable existence.

    Yours, in HIS Name!

The responses would lead me to believe it's not a piss take, but then again Americans iz stoopid.

One of the users has a tagline of "lustful witch" or somesort, under which is written, "true Christian".

Here's me thinking lust was one of the seven deadly sins. It reminds me of Full Metal Jacket with the peace sign button on the jacket and "born to kill" on the helmet.

Damn it! Beat me to it. :)

I read a couple of threads and it soon became very clear that each and every one of them was taking the piss out of hard line christians.

It's a werid, weird, ambition, but living in North America, it's on my to-do list to travel down to the bible belt some time and to actually experience these types of people first hand. I just find the whole idea amazing in it's ignorance and racist nature and the amazing way these people live their lives.

Documentories, off the top of my head, such as Louis Theroux, always amaze me when they get up close and personal with these people and that this is deemed a socially acceptable way to be.

The extremest vote is massive in America, and it's amazing that (mostly Republican candidates) play up to this white supremacy stereotype in order to become the most powerful people on earth, and carry out a personal agenda whilst also keeping the nuts happy with sensational foreign policy. George Bush take a bow.
