    Here's the article:
Ireland could follow Britain over stalls switch
    By Jessica Lamb 6:04PM 4 DEC 2010

IRELAND could follow Britain in falling in line with the rest of the world's way of ordering starting stall numbers, but officials in both countries said any change would only be made once they were certain everybody involved in racing would be aware of the implications of a switch.

Draw positions in both countries begin on the right, as viewed from the stands, which creates a different configuration depending on whether the track is rightor left-handed.

The BHA, however, announced plans to number stalls on all racecourses from the inside, a move the Turf Club is also looking at for Ireland.

The BHA is understood to have polled a number oftrainers on the matter, with initial feedback positive.

Irish racing could follow any lead made in Britain and Denis Egan, chief executive of the Turf Club, said: "I have been in a number of international meetings, in relation tothe harmonising of rules in general, where this has been discussed.

"We were asked would we look at it, and we have planned too, but I wasn't aware the move was as imminent as it appears to be in the UK."

Agreed. Its makes sense to know that the low numbers are on the rail no matter where the meeting is.
