Im sure there is a very easy answer to this, here goes.

I already have sky+ but was hopeing to put a second box in another room, just before i do, just a quick question, i have a second box, will this receive all the freeview channels without a card?? i do have an old Blue card with a yellow house on it? But i have seen people looking for "white cards" , first of all do i need a card in it for the freeview channels( this is all i want freeeview) and if so what card should i have? What is the difference between both card types?

    Thanks

    Bandit

One things for sure you won't be getting freeview through satellite!!

You mean the Fta channels, like bbc's channel 4, etc

You will get these with out a card yes!

No need for a card to receive fta channels on a skybox. You need to tune ch5 into 'other channels' as it's not on EPG. Frequency 10.773 H 22.0 5/6.The card people are talking about is a Sky FTV card, they're not officially available here but there is a thread on how to get one.It will give you Fiver,Five USA and Sky3 on epg.Tip-set the fta channels you watch most as favourites as they are all over the place on the epg.

Left em out deliberately as its not a hd box the op has,so apart from viva the others are unwatchable.
