Wife going on three day week

    Anyone able to tell me what we would expect to be down per week. My wife is currently in full time employment but has been given a letter from her employers that she is going on a three day week. Currently earns after tax 390 Euro (approx). Based on that figure she is on 78 Euro per day. She can then claim two days on the dole. All things being equal she should be back to full time employment by March. (works in hotel business).

    I am self employed and salary is extremely variable at present with Jan-Feb normally very quite.

    Any advice on approx deduction in her salary would be most welcome.

    There's too many unknown variables to answer this question (how's your tax credit is split up, the gross pay not being mentioned etc). Talk to your accountant.

    If you know what her Gross Pay (before any deductions for tax/PRSI/pension) is, then someone could probably give you a ballpark idea.
