    Hi,
I am just wondering about prices for in-yard total beginners instruction, with their bike. I remember getting a quote for 350euro, maybe that was a full day. I just want to be familiar with everything and not be a total moron when i get my bike. 350 is alot of moola...

    Where abouts are you?

I got lessons recently and found the prices were generally around €60 for an hour with bike rental.

I decided in the end to go for an all-day (6 - 7 hour) lesson for €300 including bike rental, and gear. It's quite expensive but I found it really good as the first hour or two will fly past in a blur. The full day was good because I had plenty of time to come to terms with the basics, and then got to put them into practice.

    Hope that helps :)

+1 on needing to know where you are...

And why are you so fixed on in-yard training? Unless you've never driven a vehicle with clutch and manual gearbox on-road training is the most important thing.

Well, if it helps. I got the full day training from one of the instructors at MRTG working in Waterford. I can only speak for him, not their other instructors around the country, but I found him very, very good, and unbelievably helpful. They do have an instructor working in Limerick/Clare.

Im sure there are many others around your area too, what I did was ring a few of them and ask what they would recommend for a complete beginner, I chose the MRTG instructor because he was so helpful on the phone and he made alot of sense.
