Have family members flying home from Tenerife tonight at 2000 hrs, anyone any info on this strike.
They are travelling Aer Lingus and the website has the status of the flight as on time
Some reports say that the strike will be over at 1300 today but Ryanair and Iberia have cancelled their flights till at least tomorrow morning.
Have been trawling the news sites but info very sketchy at best and cant get through to Aer Lingus.

    Any info appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Bob

I was meant to be on EI592 to Madrid this morning, however flight was cancelled due to the strike. When I asked about transferring to any later flights to Madrid or Barcelona I was told that more than likely there won't be any flights going out to Spain. So the chances of the flights coming are in slim to none I'd say.

Thanks looks like they might get the military in, flight is still on the web site as on time, so might just make it.
Sorry to hear about your plans hope you get out soon.

The controllers have returned to work. The government placed them under military law and gave them two choices, return to work or face a possible long spell in jail. No prize for guessing their choice:)

Good news flight left with only a slight delay, hope everything gets back to normal tomorrow.

    Thanks for your help.
