Has anyone used these lamps if so how did you find them.

I called the dealer today they told me they are a copy of the lightforce,
but they are a fair bit cheaper €105 for the 170 and they come with variable power.

Also the Ucaller nighteye 14 amp battery pack,
"When using on a 170 mm 100 Watt lamp the pack will last about 2 hrs on constant full power." ???

    Any advice would be great.

There are 2 hand held no dimmer used here all good so far. €59 a pop.

The lamp will use 8.8amps an hour so you won't get 2 hours outa that battery at FULL use, but turning it off and using the dimmer you will get 4-5+ hours handy.

    Thanks clive,

Would they be as good as the lightforce, if they are they seem good value.

I don't see much difference between the Ucaller and the Lightforce scopemounted prices?
€105 for Ucaller and €115 for Lightforce.
Not a massive difference anymore with the lightforce price drop.
I guess it's like all things they start out expensive and get progressively cheaper as the copies start being made.
I've been reading about guys using HID setups for lamping, the ballasts and bulbs are getting cheaper all the time and maybe a 140 with a HID installed might be a nice setup.

IMO yes they are a clone of the LF 170

becarefull with those scope mounted lights especially the high ones they have a lot of leverage and knock a scope of zero fairly easily we found , so much so that we went with a homemade mount that put the light under the forend

I asked the lady i spoke to about a handle, could you get one so you could change from scope mounted to handheld like the lightforce, she said the handle on lamp is permanent but it still clips on and off the mount on the scope.
    May explain the height.
Would it realy make a difference??

What about the extra cost of the dimmer and the handle if you go with the lightforce, if you wanted them, which I do. They are both built in with the ucaller AFAIK

I spoke to a lightforce dealer today

    LF Striker 170 €145
    Deben belt battery pack €124
    Handle and dimmer €90 ish
    Total €359

    Ucaller dealer.
Ucaller variable power 170mm scopemounted €105
Ucaller night eye 14amp battery pack €120
    Total €225

€134 of a saving but is it worth it

you would save a good bit buying a battery from a motorfactors etc, i bought a 12v 18amp for 24 euro

I did't know the Ucaller had a a dimmer, I just thought it was a focusable light just like the standard LF170.
If the Ucaller has a variable dimmer then it is a much better deal and I can't see lightforce competing with that.

The plastic on the u caller seems a lot lighter than the Lightforce. I had a ucaller 170 apart last week as the switch had gone faulty, easy enough to replace and it's hard to believe how much they can charge for a piece of plastic and a bulb, I saw replacement bulbs in maplin with a vertical filament for £1.99 where deben are charging £9 or more for the same thing.

i got a ucaller lamp last friday + the 14ah battery pack in stakelums for €160. shot the first fox under it tonight. it was able to cut through heavy snow fall enough for me to see the fox clearly at 150 yards.
well worth the money in my opinion
