Should England have gotten the 2018 World Cup?

    Ok I can't see a thread for this which is a bit surprising. Do you think England should have won with their bid for the 2018 World Cup?

    My personal view is that I think Russia is a better choice as in terms of FIFA it is better for them to have football built up in a country where it is in need of it rather than the likes of England get it where it won't have any long terms gain.
