PIR Light sensor

    Hi,

I have a indoor PIR light sensor that turns the ceiling light on automatically when you walk in proximity to it. It has stopped working and I can't turn the light on. I would like to bypass it instead of replacing it and just switch on the light using the light switches but I am not sure what to do with the 3 wires going into it.

    There is a live in (brown)(marked 'L in'), a live out(brown)(marked 'L out') and a neutral(blue)(marked 'C')

I tried connecting the L in and L out and it didn't work.

if you connect live in and live out ,the light will stay on permanently
you need to take a wire from live in ,to a switch(com terminal)
and a wire from live out,to the switch(L1 terminal)
remember to turn power off for safety

What do I do with the neutral

alternately ,if you join live in and live out and light stays on
if you remove nearest switch point you may find the wire which goes to live in
if you connect this wire to a switch it should work for you
    safety first;)

It think that it is a 3 way switch

leave the neutrals connected together in a connector block

Ther is only 1 neutral as far as I am aware at the PIR. Do you mean the neutrals at the switch

It think that it is a 3 way switch

see does light stay on first
it will be easier to identify cable for live in then
it will be a cable connected to the com terminal on switch
