Christmas is coming and looking for info/tips on golf GPS units. Looking for good value unit with good graphics. Do all machines require joining up to get extra courses?

Buy a Golfbuddy, no annual subscription, no course download fees. Buy it, bring it to whatever course you are playing and turn it on, it will automatically recognise what course you are on. It it the best bit of golf gps kit on the market.
