British MP Convicted Over Expenses Claims

Former British MP David Chaytor admits guilt in court over claiming false expenses, mainly rent on property he owned, another that his mother owned and relief on mortgage he'd already paid for. Used false invoices to claim IT expenses. Sounds familiar? Why the hell aren't we doing this in this country? It stinks to high heaven. We even have to go to court to wrangle a bye-election. From the outside, this place looks anything but a modern day democracy with all its citizens subject to the rule of law. They're stoking the fires of revolution with their flouting of the laws at this stage. Very angry about this.

And 4 or 5 more due in court.

Fancy having a government that feels responsible to the people.

Nothing to do with government, everything to do with the media, police and CPS

Mainly the media and the leaks to the Telegraph. In Scotland, Jim Devine deserves a couple of years in jail

Sure Ivan felt so wronged by mere suspension at his outrageous expense claims that HE took the Oireachtas to the High Court!

No, thats Tommy Sheridan... awful waste of a political left winger. Reduced to lying in court and appearing in Big Brother.

Jim Devine was MP for Livingston and is esstentially too thick to realise he was fiddling the expenses

Livingston is the town. I nearly moved there once, it has to be the greyest place in earth.
