    Hi all,
Hope ye can help me here. I'm due to head away for a few days on Sunday. Meant to be flying from Dublin Airport but with the weather I'm beginning to think it might'nt go ahead. What exactly happens if your flight is cancelled due to bad weather? Are you entitled to your money back or is it just tough luck? Only heading for a few days so even if they were able to book me on the next available flight, if it was any more then a day delayed, it wouldn't be worth my while. Also I'm not from Dublin so if I had to wait over night, I'd have to book into a hotel or sleep in the airport. I booked with a travel company, not directly with the airline, does that make a difference? Any ideas?

Who are you flying with? I know that ryanair are offering a place on the next available flight or your money back depending on your preference

Aer Lingus are doing the same. I'm supposed to be heading to Munich at 16.00 just as the band of 'precipitation' is due to hit from the west.

If you booked it separately, the airline could refund you, but the hotel wouldn't have to, as it's not their fault you didn't turn up. As it's with an agency, I'm unsure on how much of the (non commute part of the) holiday, that you get.

Thanks for all the replies, hopefully the worry has all been for nothing. Dublin airport seems to be operating as normal at the moment so hopefully that will continue. Thanks again!!

If you booked a package holiday through an Irish travel agent you may be covered.
