Will Anglo Paraphernalia Ever Have Value To Collectors?

I have an Anglo Irish Bank Golfing umbrella and I'm wondering if any of the Anglo paraphernalia will ever have a value to collectors.

Are the umbrellas rare enough that they may someday be worth some money?
If I could get it autographed by both Fitz and Drumm there would probably be more interest in it.

This Article got me thinking that the umbrella might be worth holding on to.

Maybe in several years - at the moment, even its property book isn't worth much!

Is ICI, Barings, Lehman's stuff worth anything?

    Answer...no.

They prob gave a brolly out to all staff at one stage. Several thousand in circulation no doubt.

Nicking the sign from the Stephens Green office would get some headlines, but probably no money (and almost certainly a conviction!)

You might be able to sell it to Bertie as a memory of 'de good auld days'...

Probably not worth much more than any other umbrella, no, but I have no doubt some budget documents, anglo irish and general banking paraphenalia will appear in the National History Museum. Perhaps even with its own section just like 1916, the British Occupation of Ireland, Foreign Wars, etc.

Not that we'll need a museum to remember this particular lesson any time soon.

In a few years' time, you'll want to go to the Collectibles and Antiques forum for your answer. Personally, I think you're being extremely optimistic.
