That's a very kind offer, OP.

Maybe try the Dublin City fourm for better replies.

There are a number of voluntary organisations that would be involved in helping out during this cold spell but there may be a training process to go through before being able to operate with them. It could be best to stay as close to home as possible and see if there are any elderly neighbours that might need help with basic necessities or if you have elderly relatives chick in and make sure they are ok.

Friends of the elderly have a visiting program
Simon Community Help with Housing Dublin Simon
SVP Society of St Vincent de Paul
    Red Cross Volunteer

I see they are mentioned in the post above but the guys in Saint Vincent De Paul get very busy this time of the year with the xmas rush. This year no doubt all the more difficult for them with the extreme weather conditions.

With a little luck the thaw is coming and will be long enough to melt the snow and ice in full. And that there won't be large flooding afterward too! Well done to all those who lent a hand, whether formally with a voluntary organisation or through their own initiative.
    Happy Christmas.
