Insurance company that mirrors NCB?

    Has anyone come across a company lately that will mirror a NCB already in use on a Van?

    I am switching back to my car but the insurance on the van isnt up until March so I want to leave it insured to get the full years NCB. Thing is I want to Insure the car now and got a quote using the named driver experience built up on the missus car. I was sure I had 6 years on that but her insurance company can only locate from May 2007 when she moved to them. I done an online quote again and it's jumped a lot with only 3 years NCB.

    Can you transfer ncb from commercial to private??
    It's been a good few years, but last time I changed, had to start from scratch with car insurance!

    No, tried that before, they said I had to cancel and take out a new policy.
