    IMO if you actually want to be using the hammer function of a hammer drill you need atleast a 24 Volt drill, anything less is nothing more than a screw gun if ya ask me

    Screw gun is a little bit of an exageration, I have maganged with a good 18 volt if stuck.But yes for fixing to masonary or drilling through masonary then 24volt is your best bet. Makita or Bosch are the best IMO.
