Ive been playing this game on and off since beta. Watch a few streams on teamliquid.net aswell as some of the personalities on youtube. In the beginning i took it somewhat serious and raged when i got 6pool'ed, cannon rushed, 2 barrack marines, any sort of cheese play. Or simply being beaten in any form. Now i play maybe once a week, on a friday after work. Just relaxed and take it easy. I laugh listening to some of the player/commentator streams, nony being infamous for it. Rage quitting / throwing his toys out the pram

Got this gem id thought id share

    ssc2rq.jpg

So just looking for stories of your rage quits or people you have made rage quit ;)

Have been cursed out of it. Have had to endure long whines about the imbalance of mutas. Have had to listen to by far, the worst member of a 3v3 team rage quit about the rest of us being noobs.

The best rages for me are the calculated ones; rather than just a few explosive expletives thrown at me before a rage quit, the calculating rage is someone who stays joined to the match, just to write a long rant aimed at either me or my race (usually while I'm finishing off his main). They're the most fun because they're trying so hard to act all level-headed - explaining why I'm really a newb, despite me beating him - but you know they're typing it through clenched teeth. So who am I to resist then stoking the fires & then troll like crazy :D

Second to that are the ones who accuse you of cheating. I must have been "reported" to Blizzard so often now for my crimes of simply being better than the other guy.

I rage-quit a few times last night myself after some ZvZs; good god that is the most boring matchup. First to spam unit X wins. I miss playing in Bronze sometimes as every second game in Gold is either spam or cheese.

Few days ago i had a rage day myself. Lost 7 games, first few i was outolayed by zergs, then cheese started , got 2-3 rax pushed, then got thor scv cheesed, then 6 pool, wheres my zealot was a dickhead. Then in pvp got blocked on my own ramp and was watching my expo die. And then ofc anather thor scv rush... I snaped, i just said " nice job asshole, for using biggest cheese terran got", he was like " meh" then i just said: gl with your cheese noob, you will need it. And irage quited...

I am not proud of what i did, and i really looked like an asshole... I just snaped, sc can sometimes make normal people to be furiest assholes... Taking a small brake and just watching gsl3, not playing myself...

Heres another one. Was great timing. Im rank 1 gold at the moment and getting paired up against mostly platinum leaguers. I win as much as i lose and will probably make it into the next division at some stage but yesterday was a different story. Couldn't do anything right and ended up with a six loss streak. Trying to crawl back the ratio at the moment so when this guy raged it just made me laugh

Heres the replay if your interested. You can pinpoint the very moment he knows hes lost :)

My 3v3 team like doing ridiculous tactics, though never anything "cheesy" - we don't rush. We prefer to do things like "all queens" or "I'm not building anything until carriers" or "expand to their natural". When it works, the other team rages pretty hard. "l2p" "try use a real tactic" "****ing noobs" etc., even though we won despite some very obvious self-imposed handicaps. People just don't know how to deal with things they haven't seen before.

In terms of self-rage, I guess the closest I get to it is if we're (I play team games almost exclusively) losing to an obviously better team, and they start BMing us. We turn into massive assholes and make it as awkward as possible for them to claim their inevitable victory - building stuff all over the map, flying things away, using the rest of our money to cannon up, etc. Only to people who are bad mannered, though. Otherwise it's just being a jerk, and that's not cool.

I got a guy who GGed but didn't surrender straight away, spent the few minutes left in the game while I was destroying his base hurling tonnes of abuse at me. I just said lol cry more, and reported him

Raging against mass mutas is just common sense really.

<3 mutas. It's their own fault if they don't scout it. That's my line and I'm sticking to it.

i love my line:' play starcraft, not marinecraft' :pac:

or i love to reply when the oppo whine at my x unit, i just say: 'building y unit is a good skill toi have', y unit is usually some cheesey unit which he lost them to mine.

I have made people rage quit with mutas. I have a sick muta build which, if scouted or countered will leave me shagged but when it works.... The first thing that attacks their base is 12 +1/+1 mutas. Tends to wipe their peon line after which they rage quit.... I've never rage quit myself but that's because I am suuuuch a bad loser that I've countered it over my life time. I really am bad hahaha. Winning isn't everything, but losing....losing is NOTHING. :)

If we are honest, we have all "raged" at one point or another. I've found people are much more likely to rage at home where they feel most comfortable than say at a LAN or tourney infront of other people.

I've had a few people rage on me. Cursing me out etc. I'd rather a frank discussion about balance then just a constant tyrade of meaningless crap. Along with some sneaky attempts at winning against all odds. People typing out "has left the game." and pressing enter and hoping you quit out thinking the match is over. I haven't seen it work yet but its still funny.

I never rage as in outright and abusive rage, but sometimes when I lose I do get annoyed, like "what did I do wrong" and stuff. The replay feature is a great help there

On lost temple today, killed zerg base then realised he had expanded to island. So was like fuuuuuuu and just surrendered. So annoying

To the contrary I did learn from the loss, I scouted nydus network and was like what where is the nydus worm, not in my base or around it so I'm happy. Only till later I realised he had used it to expand to island :o
