Hi, was just thinking of getting the O2 wireless broadband. Is this any good to use for playing games on the PS3? Based in Dooradoyle Limerick.

    Cheers...

Depends on your coverage there really. It seems to be in the city centre so should be better than most.

I dont use it for that so someone else should be able tell you speeds for online playing etc

The wireless dongles dont work with the Ps3 as far as I know.

The dongles do work on ps3 through a laptop but the speeds are terrible. Tried it before when my main internet was down for a day and it was unplayable. I wouldn't recommend it.

i was using 02 bb for the ps3 for a few months with no problems, although its totally dependant on location

O2 is very good woth the Ps3, but as many other posters have said it all depends on location. Buy yourself a Dovado Router, you simply plug your M.B.B into it and you have WIFI throughout your house or you can connect via ethernet to your PS3. It woks a little better than going through your p.c or Laptop i found.

I also had the o2 BB for a while before I got the landline in, I played online quite a few times with o2 and rarely had a problem. Some games worked better than others though.

That can be easily sorted by opening up the ports for those problem games
