-3.3 here, 3 to 6 inches of fresh snow everywhere - from early hours of this morning - up to the shore line, and a very dense freezing fog moving in off the sea as I type, looks eerie.

We could well hit -20ºC tonight at the rate it's dropping. That'd be a record for the island, the current low temperature record is -19.1ºC, recorded at Markree Castle, Sligo in January 1881.

Extremely dense freezing fog here, very odd walking through it in total silence with everything pure white. Really light drizzle all day but it might just be something to do with the fog

Welcome to the no snow zone of Waterford City, max temp today was -0.3c, Currently its -1.8c exactly the same as this time yesterday. Not expecting any snow tonight but hoping for a new low record.

The fog has gotten even denser here since it got dark, struggling to see the house on the opposite side of the street now

It's holding at 0.5C in Raheny with recent snow/sleet. It doesn't look like much of a thaw is going to happen but it has warmed up from -2C about two hours ago.
