iPhone cannot confirm certificate

I spent ages trying to fix this, simple fix so I thought I would post it.

The wifes iPhone wouldn't allow me to set up "Find my iPhone" as it said the certificate could not be validated. Further checking this was happening for everything (app store, safari)

Turns out the date/time was incorrect and set to a much earlier date. I went into the general settings and set the date/time to manual and back to automatic to fix it.
