This heat wave we are having at the moment got me thinking about a warm weather training camp for April. My training group head away this time every year and we gotta get booking soon enough. Any boardsies out there have any recomendations? We are looking at easter week.

We are sprinters so we want to go somewhere with a decent track and gym and somewhere close by to do some hills (sand dunes maybe?). We want to keep this as low budget as possible. And if ye could recommend accommodation nearby too that would be great.

And if you have any contact details for the track, gym, apartment, etc drop me a PM.

    Thanks

Alot of the Irish go to Monte Gordo.

Track, Trails, cheap accomodation. Always athletes around the town so can create a good atmosphere.

Been there the last to years and going again this year would definitely reccommend it as a training camp location

    Thanks guys!

We have looked into Monte Gordo before but i think it is usually very busy during easter week. Ecoli have you any contact details for the track or apartments?

Tenerife looks good but flights might be a problem.... I'll have to look into that.

    Any other suggestions?

Here is the hotel we stayed in first year meals included (though a little further away from the track than sprinters may like:D was a good warm up for the distance guys)

This one a little nearer with cooking facilities in each apartment

Dont have a contact detail for the track at the moment but ill PM you as soon as i can get it (stuck in work)
