Feed hunting on RTE News Now

I happened to flick to News Now late last night, and although the screen was tagged as Euronews, it was actually various feeds from Reuters, AP, CBS etc. It would then switch back to a screen (looked like a software interface) listing the feeds available, also various testcards appeared at times.

I set it recording, checked it today, it went on all night, right until Morning Ireland came on.

It would be nice to think they (RTENL?) are planning some more interesting content, other than loops of the headlines.

What time did you switch on last night? I will keep an eye out tonight to see if RTENL will do more tests.

I saw this as well, stayed tuned in for 20 minutes or so. Looked like the Eurovision news feed.

It appeared to be another RTE mistake, wrong button pressed and incorrect feed left on all night.

I first saw it at about 3am on Monday night/Tuesday morning.

It may well have been a mistake, but the fact that the selected feed changed frequently over the course of several hours made me think that someone was in control. Maybe it goes on all the time, but shouldn't have been broadcast.

    Is it Christmas party time?
