London is always a good place to go, markets, high street stores etc, quite cheap too. Sales after Christmas would be lovely to go to. Manchester, Liverpool, Glasgow and Newcastle are also good to go to :) (Cheap flights with Ryanair 20-30 return per person if you manage to nab some sale prices!)

Oslo: went here earlier this year with my best friend in early January, beautiful snow, lovely city, but very expensive. They do lovely Sunday markets, but the high street stores are like what you'd find at home. (paid 40e return for a ticket with Ryanair in January)

Krakow: Went here in March 2008. Wandered the streets around the main square and nearly couldn't get home because of all the bargains. (my suitcase was so full I had to take over some of my brothers bag! :o

Barcalona: Lovely shops here, Massive Bershka's H&M etc as well as sports clothing stores and which aren't ridiculously priced. I got loads here. Go in Summertime, late July early August, lovely and warm and you can take in the beach and the surrounding areas. Cheap and cheerful! :) (went for a week booked flights and hotels via lastminute.com around about 400e)

Phew, there's my two cents! :) Hope it helps.
