Is it true that the rsu volvos have a switch to adjust the volume of their siren?
And if so why would you want to turn down the siren?

They may do. Some of the current marked and unmarked have them too.

The older sirens had volume control too. Town, country and Night, if i recall correctly.

You don't need all the noise at night.

The low power button only impacts on the blue and red strobes in the light bar as far as I know. The siren is a simple on/off on that panel and you flick through the different two tones by pushing the car horn when the siren is active and a double push will switch it on or off.

Would you not expect an alpha keypad for that?

I'd say there's only a few things they can display on the thing so there's little need for a keypad.

Correct. There are a few pre programmed options for the scroll bar.
