With onlineautomotive.co.uk you say you bought a catalytic converter have you had any problems and how long ago did you get it fitted just a bit cautious as a hell of a lot cheaper than boal or main dealer makes. Is it a case of you get what you pay or is it a genuine good deal
    Thanks

What you get from online automotive is just the cat with a section of tubing either way, so the exhaust system will have to be removed and the old cat cut out and the new one welded in.
Access to a lift, grinder and welder are very handy, I did it without a lift using a combination of a hydraulic jack and two axle stands, it makes the job so much harder.
The cat comes with clamps, but it's better not to bother with them in the first place, just cut out the old cat and weld in the new one.
It passed the NCT two years ago and just repassed it again last week, albeit emissions where up a tad, don't know if that's the cat or something else, but won't worry for another two years.
For the money it was worth the hassle and if you can learn from my mistakes: Get a lift, a grinder and a welder.
A mate is also a handy thing to have for this job.
And make sure all the angles are spot on and that the cat does not twist, not even by half an inch, it makes fitting it an absolute dog and a pig of a job.

    tks dr.fuzzenstein
very much appreciated your replies and pm and particularly in this economic climate suppliers will have to lower their prices here in Ireland.I will probably go ahead with the euroflow cat and get it fitted here

Good luck with that, let us know how you get on!
