    I'm 17, asking for a new acoustic guitar for Christmas and i am very aware of the mess the country is in so my parents have limited the price to 250eur. I wouldn't have the best knowledge of guitars as im only playing 2 years but im good for the stage im at.. I want to be able to plug the guitar into an amp also, so any help is much appreciated :)

    Your best bet on getting a nicer guitar will be buying something used. Check adverts for acoustics in your price range or a little more and see if you can get one inside your budget. I think with acoustics you really want to spend as much as you can because there's not much you can do to improve the guitar compared to an electric which is easily upgraded.
    I'd be looking at some Takamines as they can be had in that range and are fairly decent.

    I take it you understand that plugging an acoustic guitar into an amp will not mean you have an "electric" guitar, you'll just have an acoustic that you can make louder. ie you wont be able to play Highway to Hell on it! Well i suppose you could, but wont sound like the track!

    You'll pay a extra for being able to plug into an amp, it wouldn't be one of my priorities in that price range. Most venues would be able to mic a guitar if there was a need.

    Do you need to plug it in straight away? My advice would be to get the best acoustic guitar you can, and when you're ready to plug in use something like this;

    It fits into the soundhole and allows you to plug in to an amp/PA or whatever.

    one of the best cheap acoustics you can get is the yamaha f-310.. you'd pick up one from most stores for around E120 to E150 new and they play really well out of the box

    any store worth their salt should have it set up anyway, i've recommended them to a few friends that were starting out

    they're cheap, sound decent and they have low action so they're easy to play.. they don't come with a pickup but you should save enough money to buy one, you'd get a nice enough one to fit in the soundhole second hand out of the E100 or so you have left

    keep in mind after shipping it could be cheaper to go through a store than online, that way you can try it first and try haggling a bag, strap etc out of them
