it'll say something like 900kg or 1370 kg that's you maximum proof loadof your gun check the cartridge box it'll tell you what the proof requirement is

I asked the same thing as you Dupont and it was reccomended to use alphamax bbs. I could not get a straight awnser as to what the max load I should use was. I personally would be very reluctant to fire over 36grams of shot in an ordinary game gun such as yours. I think a 36 gram load of bbs is well able to handle a fox out to 30 yards anyway.

you can get up to 42grm loads to use in a 2,3/4 inch chambered gun proofed for 900 kg they are a bit stingy on the shoulder but do the job but ffs just be carefull to check your gun and the ammo information too big of a load and it'll do damage to you and it just because it's a 2,3/4 shell dosn't mean your gun is fit for it
eley used to do a 2,3/4 "magnum shell as did gamebore they were a slow burning powder and were shoulder friendly shot size is up to you i wouldn't go for anything bigger than bb my preference is 1s and 3s
you really need to have a chat to your rfd

I can't answer your question, but I have one of my own. Why do you need the heaviest cart possible for your gun? 36gm BB's will knock the snot out of Charlie 40 yards (and beyond on occasion).

The best catridge i've used for fox's has to be Winchester zero's!
    Can they still be got?

I've used these,46G zeros, they are rated at 1050 bar. Some lads I've shot with, that flush foxs with hounds every weekend use these exclusively.
