Was just wondering, if I order off this site will I be charged tax when it comes into the country?

Ordered off forever 21 before and was charged 80e when it arrived from the states!

Hey Peri,

I've bought lots of gorgeous things from Etsy and never been caught, customs are only supposed to charge tax on parcels that cost over €40. Maybe ask the seller to mark the customs value below €40?

My boyfriend even bought my engagement ring from Etsy

I have bought LOADS of stuff off there, mostly coming from US.
Was charged for tax once, on a rather large box that had a big tulle dress inside that was 190e- it was about 30e tax they charged. But seems to be hit and miss - apart from that one time, never was charged anything!

Etsy is a bit like ebay. There are sellers worldwide on it although the majority seem to be from the USA. Depending on what you buy there is a chance that you could be charged tax by customs.
