I just remembered why it is i hate the winter months so much, its the arrival of that Pompous, arrogant, sanctimonious & condescending buffoon Conor Faughnan of the AA. He seems to pop everywhere and no doubt will over take all these economists with his regular radio appearances (well at least i don't have to look at him)

He reminds us Motorists how stupid we all are and offers advice a child would have grasped by the age of Ten. And then, god forbid should anyone disagree, he reminds us "We at the AA would not concur with that train of thought"

Is it just me or is he annoying!

Give us the AA gals anytime :o

Is maith an scáthán súil charad.

He was on with Matt Cooper yesterday and they were getting on grand until Matt said something about idiot motorists and there was a sharp intake of breath and silence from Conor (Hi Conor!) as he worked out how not to insult his customers while being agreeable to his host.

What annoys me is the tendancy for the AA (just another commercial recovery company) to be given the status of somehow representing the Motorist. (PS Im a Member btw)

winter tyres are not suitable for Ireland. They are only for use on Ice or snow and will quickly over heat on tarmac.

Where are you getting that from?
The perception that 'Winter Tyres' only give benefits on snow or ice is years out of date as modern rubber compound technology and advances in tread pattern design means the modern day 'Winter Tyre' also provides higher levels of road safety on cold and damp road surfaces too. (Perhaps a more apt name for 'Winter Tyres' would now be 'Cold Weather Tyres')

I kinda like him...he is pretty patronising but at least he is on the motorist side. Is either that or the RSA who seem determind to label any male driver under 30 as a murdering psychopath, that + he does make sense when he talks about motor taxes and he one of the only ones out there at the moment highlighting how crazy all the taxes on owning a car in Ireland are.
