The fox is a creature of opportunity but then again so are we.
On my way home tonight I pulled into a couple of fields just to see what was about. One of them had lad in it doing exactly what I was ding, looking for an opportunity. He was hunting up and down by a ditch looking for some birds to eat I'd say.

He was 180 paces away looking straight at me so without further a do I let fly with the new 50gr norma and the satisfying thump reported a successful shot.

this lad was taking the opportunity to eat the feed left out for the farmers sheep,
her and about 6-8 others were making a meal of it for them selves.

i had to stalk my way threw a herd of sheep to an opening where i saw them go threw.

it was a case that i could walk straight there because the hedge was blocking me from view of the deer and the wind was coming from my side so it was not an issue either. but if i moved to quick the sheep would run so i had to take my time.
once i reached the gap i could see the deer about 90y away so i lay down and got comfortable in the snow, i placed the cross hairs behind the shoulder and squeeze off a 123gr sako game head.

she ran about 80 yards and collapsed dead on the snowy ground.
the farmer that gave me the permission said he would like some venison for christmas so i will be donating this one to him:D

so i took the opportunity to give the farmer a bit of venison for christmas as he asked ;)
