    I want to use
    Traktor pro
    Kontrol x1

But i have 1 question can i use an apc 20 to map the crossfaders to work like the faders on a mixer and contol the crossfading and volumes of the four decks because i cant afford the audio8 dj even on half price. And please dont tell me i should use an apc 40 because i cant afford that either.! Funds are low!

Why are you comparing an APC20 and an AudioDJ8? One is a midicontroller and one is a soundcard.

I know but can I use the apc20 as a mixer instead of using my current 4 channel mixer and the audio 8 and a really cheap soundcard for the speakers?

An APC 20 is a midi controller, an Audio 8 is a soundcard.

Think you have things a little muddled.

What the way your planning you'd need to buy an X1, APC20 AND a decent soundcard(€100+). Dont buy a cheap one, you will regret it. I'd be more likely to not buy the APC and but a proper mixer and soundcard along with the X1 and split the outputs of the soundcard onto two channels on the mixer.

That said, why buy the X1? Why not buy an all in one MIDI+sound unit and be done? The X1 is more suited for use with a pair of CDJs/Decks.
