I am worried sick of a re-occurance of last year...so:

Is it safe to leave the heating/boiler on all the time? Stats set to 18 degrees,so i know boiler kicks in when it drops below this.

Tanks+pipes in attic froze last year..I've left the attic door open a jar to leave some heat up there.

Really meant to get the pipes up there lagged...stupidity on my behalf.

yes its safe to leave it on as long as a thermostat is controlling it . will end up costing ya a pretty penny , still not too late to get the pipes insulated

i personally would not leave my heating on. I would buy pipe lagging and insulate my pipes...

Failing that i would peal back the insulation in the attic under my pipes and allow the heat rise up to them#

Most of your rooms will stay warm this way and you wont have a massive heating bill...

imo its very foolish false economy not to go out and buy insulation but instead leave on your heating.
