It might just make it but have you factored in the weights eg Fuel/Luggage/Passengers?

I Just googled some figures and it would seem to my untrained eye that it would be just possible to land a 737 on Carrickfinn’s 1,500 m (4,900 ft)

    Has it been done?

    Possibly as a bet.

Id be safer doing it in a BAe/RJ146 if anything.

Or Airbus A319 (the Pocket Rocket).

Even if it were possible to land a 737 there the question remains would it be possible to take off from there ?

Yes is the answer to both questions, but would it be safe and legal, that's another matter:cool:

    Presume you mean a 735?

Yes there is indeed a difference between possible and legal. I suspect also that the runway may be too narrow. Also it and the ramp area may not be designed to take the weight.

Realistically a new runway would be needed.
