    From Wikipedia:
Just as Dexter discovers a possible ally in the pursuit of Lumen's former captors, he and Lumen are forced to step down as Homicide uncovers some key evidence linked to one of their prior victims. Debra, who's been reassigned to the Barrel Girls murders, positively identifies two more suspects in the case.

Just finished but my initial reaction is that was awesome, best episode of the season by miles.

    Thought it was absolutely class.

Next 2 episodes should be great. I hope though that they bring back the season 4 storyline for next season, and not just clumsily drop it, like they have done so far.

There were some serious plot holes, and silly mistakes, but I am willing to let that slide given the amount of tension, and edge of the seat action. I didn't even mind the romance, I think they have actually handled that end pretty well for once.

For the first time in ages, I am really looking forward to next weeks episode.

Furet's always in there before me creating the new threads. I'll have to get up earlier next week. :D

Just watching now, will report back in about 50 minutes.

I thought it was very very good right up until the final minute. Why oh why. Also, I thought it was ridiculous that Dexter and Lumen broke into a house with Jordan Chase parked up just 30m away.

There were a ton of plotholes and stuff that didn't make sense, but I've decided I'm not going to let that annoy me anymore. Things like how Deb and Quinn just broke into his house without a warrant, because he called someone he knew. Also where was robocop while all the stuff at the end was going down?

Guys I know I missed something big but how didn't Quinn and Deb catch Lumen and Dexter.

They went into the right house?

Dex set up the kill room in the vacant house for sale next door.

I'm conflicted so I won't rate the episode. I'm inclined to give it 'excellent' but I'm not willing to overlook plotholes and I don't think Dex and Lumen should have hooked up. Which is not to say that it wasn't well written (it was); I just don't think it was appropriate, particularly given the ordeal Lumen has been through and Dexter's guilt over Rita.

Also, at this point I want Dexter to get caught so badly that it's just frustrating me when he manages to sabotage evidence, as he has done in every single season so far. I do think, however, that Deb will find out about Dexter's and Lumen's connection to the Barrel Girls case, and that this will convince her that Dexter was also associated with Trinity as Kyle Butler. In other words, she'll realise that Dexter is, at the very least, a person with a double life who shadows serial killers. Now, from there it shouldn't be much of a leap for her to conclude that he's a killer himself in all fairness - particularly when she already knows, AHEM, that he's the frickin Ice Truck Killer's brother (yes, whatever happened to that plot development?)!

If the story doesn't tie these things together, I'll give up on this show, because the sand in the hourglass has surely almost run out for Dexter.

    Also, season finale spoiler:
the last episode is called 'The Big One', which, although undoubtedly a double entendre, probably refers to Harrison's first birthday.

Not as good as last week. I thought having Jordan Chase chasing them (see what I did there?) would add some tension but it just seemed a bit same ol' same ol'.

Yeah, Dex and Lumen got it on, but we all saw that coming.

At least now yer man Robocop is on to them. That will hopefully be a nice development.

    A bit better this week.

Dexter does need to get caught at some stage. All this use of plot holes to avoid capture is getting tired now.

With regard to Deb and Quinn entering the house, a warrant is not needed where a door is open.

Robocop is keeping me watching, I can see him surviving and playing a bigger role next season.

They didn't break into the house. They were going to question him after the phone call, but only entered because they realised the front door was open on the hinges.

Good ep, setting up nicely the final 2 (is it 2 more?) episodes .

    Looks like those
bull**** rumours about Masuka are untrue
    which is just aswell.

Where do you see that Dex and Lumen kill the guy in the next house ?

that was the only plot hole for me..

Think they should have gotten someone to play Lumen who doesn't have two backs.

I'm loving this series so far.

Didn't warm to Lumen at the start but now I think she's the perfect apprentice.

It's pretty cool watching someone who knows about Dex investigate him, completely one step ahead of him. Completely the opposite of the show so far!

Tons of plotholes this season but that was a pretty solid ep. Things should be pretty interesting next week when Liddy goes to Quinn with that material! Chase must be pretty confident they won't find his DNA, he must never have touched the girls, only instructed. Interesting that he was acting puppet master to the blond chick, just arranging to get Dexter caught killing the Morris lad. (Only know him as Morris from ER). Good ep overall.

Arguably the best episode of the season. I know there were and have been a lot of plot holes but I was able to overlook that this time for the pure intensity of it all. Not sure of where the Liddy storyline is going but my bet is that he's gonna end up in a body bag.

Meh. I'll give it til the end of the season. Is it 12 or 13 episodes? Don't want to check the usual places in case I find a spoiler.

12 episodes so only two more :(

Pretty good from me - was preparing for the worst (:P) when Jordan made the call to Deb, but Dexter sleeping with Lumen was the one thing I really didn't want to see happening (even though it's hard to say that it wasn't expected) which brought it down from Excellent for me.

I'm looking forward to seeing what will become of Liddy
Where do you see that Dex and Lumen kill the guy in the next house ?
Well, they did zoom in on the vacant house a few moments after Deb opened the door that Lumen suggested as the kill-room, I think. I don't think they actually showed them moving the guy between the houses though.

i thought it was a good episode even though i cant think of a worse way for the show to procede then dexter and lumen hooking up.

she is an alright character but terribly cast and i dont think she is good enough to be a character that spans seasons but it looks clear were this is going to go for season 6 which is going to be the death of the show i think

if they suprise me and kill her off or something ill be very happy and looking forward to season 6 otherwise meh

i am looking forward to seeing how this season ends up though

Really enjoyed this episode. Chase is a great character and I loved the scene where Dexter takes his DNA sample and tells him that time his time is running out...

I think Dexter has really became human in this episode and throughout the series. We see him soften a bit with each episode and in this episode he drops his monster sherade. I love the way his eyes brighten up when he realises that Lumen can be just like him e.g while examining the knives. The romantic scene has been coming and it was ok. I really didn't like the angle they shot Lumen from after she took her top off. It really wasn't very feminine and certainly didn't seem lustful. I was a bit disappointed with that.

    Overall an excellent episode.
