Best MP3 Player for Video

What's the best player out there currently for video? Besides obviously playing MP3s as well, it doesn't need to do anything else (cameras, apps, etc) because my phone is more than capable of that. I'd use my phone itself but the battery would drain too quickly. I'd like any player to be able to last 3-4 hours on video and have a size 8GB+ (preferably with an SD card add on option).

I'm looking to be able to watch AVIs (XVid and DivX) easily, without having to go through too much hassle in converting them - something my lovely (but almost dead) Creative: Vision M allowed me to do easily.

I don't want to give money to Apple, so what are the other options in a reasonable price range (preferably below €150)? The latest Creative XiFi 2 doesn't seem to get good reviews for video, nor does the Creative MX. Archos players seem to get mixed reviews for video and it's only when you go for the expensive players that you get strong reviews on video.

    Any suggestions welcomed.
