It has been a few years now but there was a traffic lights also in Shannon for landing aircraft. It was when runways 31/13 were in use. Maybe more years than I care to remember.

They were between the Police control post, still there, and SRS hanger.

There are a few more like that in this thread.

    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055995087

The below is a general 'signature' and not part of any post:

FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.

You don't have to take a 'smart' meter if you don't want one, opt-out is available.

Buy drinks in 3L or bigger plastic bottles or glass bottles or cartons to avoid the DRS fee.

Public transport user? If you're sick of phantom ghost services on the 'official' RTI sources, check bustimes.org for actual 'real' RTI, if it's on their map it actually exists.

There were, I remember them well.

    Gibraltar anyone?

    Bournemouth Int'l

FYI, that road at Toncontin has been gotten rid of. Following an accident in 2008 (one of many accidents I might add), when an A320 overran the runway, they extended the runway which meant removing that road.

Ballykelly Army Base (now disused / under used) near Derry - railway runs across runway. Railway signal man needs permission from air traffic control / approach control to allow train cross.

Your computer must be the processing equivalent of Excalibur.

Any decent graphics card. I've a 1 GB Gfx card in this laptop, and FSX with everything turnede to Ultra is amazing!

It's not my video...it's by a guy on another forum that I frequent.:) It features Aerosoft's Gibraltar scenery and CaptainSim's B727...both addons are highly recommended.
However...I'm lucky in that my own sim pc performs just as well as this which is a bonus considering it's almost 3 years old at this stage (Intel QX9770 overclocked to 4.2ghz, 8GB DDR3 2000mhz, Evga 790i Ultra, dual Samsung 64gb SSD, dual 1tb 7200rpm hdd, dual 500gb 7200rpm hdd, 1200 watt psu, Nvidia GTX285,bluray burner linked up to a Dell 30" 3008wfp monitor. I sometimes hook it up to a 47" Lcd tv too. Just bought a Saitek Pro Yoke and throttle unit to go with my TrackIR 4 and I'm on the lookout for some decent rudder pedals.) :)
