Anyone else into Too Short? His Born to Mack album is a classic. Doesn't seem to get much of a mention on this side of the Atlantic? Seems some of the more famous rappers were influenced by him?

I got a lot of love for To $hort. His first couple of albums where brilliant, Cocktails is excellent, i still listen to it regularly.
His most recent album from this year called Still Blowing is actually quite good.

He was part of a whole movement in the Bay Area back in the day along with the likes of Spice One, E-40 & The Click, Mac Mall, Dru Down, Ant Banks. They where all about to get large but then Master P and No Limit came along and stole the spotlight (and thier ideas) from the Bay. The focus shifted from them but still remained large on the West and funnily enough in strip clubs.

Can't say I'm a massive fan but I definitely do recogonise he has genuine talent. He saved Rappers Ball. E-40 nearly destroyed that fabulous beat.
