The alloys on my Xantia are the product of 8 years in the UK and most of the paint and lacquer is flaking off in big chunks. I'm sanding them and having them sprayed but in fairness they are'nt the nicest of wheels anyway and I need 4 new tyres. Whats on it now are 185/65 15's.

I was looking at my options and came across a set of 15" alloys for sale with 195/50 15's on them.

So long story short , whats the situation with doing a straight swap?:)

    Edit 195 /50 not 195/55

Check this site out, it will tell you what size tyres will best suit the car with a smaller diameter wheel:

Your speedo will be slightly out too.

if they are second hand its more the fitment of the studs that will be the issue as to whether they will fit or not as the tyre size is slightly wider but slightly thinner from wheel to edge than what u have already. The lower profile wont take as much out of the ride over road bumps as the 65's did either
