Missed flights - possible refund?

Due to circumstances out of my control I missed two flights I had booked last week. Is there any way I can claim some money back for these?

The flights were booked with Aer Lingus.

Ive gotten taxes and charges back from Ryanair before but not the actualy flight cost. It might take awhile. Check the aerlingus site for the refund address and write in.

No chance getting the cost of the flight back, but they have to refund the taxes. But it's a long process and as far as I know, there's a charge to claim the taxes back. It's actually not worth the hassel.

Unused taxes are refundable. You have one month from the intended travel date to make the application. However, a refund administration fee of EUR 20 (or equivalent) per person per one-way flight will apply. So do the sums - you will probably get a small amount back.
