Just starting another thread to let everyone know this is where it's happening. If the bar is not great we'll have a load of options in the area once we're there.

Here is a map of where it is. For those who know dublin, it is between Christchurch and Dublin Castle.

So who's attending. Hopefully there'll be a good turnout...

I won't be there. Too busy running that weekend. Pity.

I'm happy to throw a second xmas beers for all those who are unable to attend this weekend. Would just be a selfless act of Christmas cheer from me!

I look forward to it! <Will be down the country at a Xmas part on Saturday>.
Dying to visit the Bull and Bear too, so could've killed a couple of birds, and all that.. :(

How about a second round in 'Against the Grain' on Wexford Street?

Assuming the weather behaves itself over the next 48hrs, are we going ahead with Saturday?

Was just thinking about this. I hear It should improve on saturday. I'll be there as long as there are taxis to take me home. What does everyone else think?

No snow Saturday but a bad night of frost so alot of ice according to weatherman.

The question is that only those round the city centre will venture as anyone further out won't go cause getting home might be very tricky.

Postponing to get a good crowd to attend for after Christmas might be a good idea but i'll follow the masses and if its on, i'll hope to attend.

I think we should wait till tomorrow evening to make a final call. Tomorrow could be interesting, it may rain- so the roads will be clear and I reckon Saturday will be ok, but if it snows it could be another story.

Once there are taxis I'll be there. Not staying in another bloody night. Can't bloody hack this!

I've another party on Sat which looks like it'll be cancelled too.

Weatherman said 5 to 10 cms of snow for tomorrow at 9 news earlier. Time will tell if he's right but we could bring some of the snowmen round this part of Dublin along. A happy lot they are.:D

Major thaw has set in this afternoon, all main roads are clear. I'm good to go for tomorrow night:)

Yes it is certainly much better today. There are even taxis parked outside Parkwest in the taxi rank (haven't seen one in a week).
We should go ahead tomorrow night and hold another one on the 18th December for those who can't make it (and those who can make it both times ;))

We should all wear the boards ac singlets, so we can identify each other ;)

They will look slick out and out later, ensure the singletons get lucky, no question about it :D

Not gonna make it tonight guys, hopefully on the 18th if you are all meeting again...

And didn't introduce yourself to us? I wanted to give you a hug! :(

Poor show last night folks. About 8 of us there I think, well done to those who braved the weather. Where was the christmas spirit from everyone else? :pac:

Don't focus on who wasn't there, to round up 8 from an internet forum is good going. (And that's just for drinks, try and get people to turn up for a race!;)). Fair play to you all for organizing a bit of cameraderie and Xmas cheer.

I'm a different demographic than you kids, but will be organizing a few beers over the Xmas- all welcome, but its in Wicklow, a recce of a hill run is mandatory beforehand, entry cost a pack of Worther's Originals.

Yeah, I was actually pleasantly surprised to get 8 out. Good night. I must remember for next time that Budvar is stronger than most beers.
