Central Heating Issue

I have an issue with my central heating and was hoping someone could help. It is gas-fired, back boiler, controls are on gas fire in fireplace. Gas fire is working fine but when I switch the heating on it comes on for a second then goes off again. You can hear the back boiler starting up, runs for about 2 or 3 mins then cuts out.

Anybody have any idea on what could be wrong?

    Thanks in advance.

If its gas, then you will need someone RGII registered to look at it.

Sounds like a problem with the circulating pump to me.

    Hi guys,

Thanks for all the replies, the issue is now sorted out and you were correct, it was the circulation pump!

    Thanks again.
