    Hi,

I was not sure where to post this. But anywhere here goes...

Now that we are nearing the end of another year I have begun to wonder what I have achieved over the past year.

Do you review your year and check what you achieved or hat your aims were or even what your aims are for next year?

I am wondering should I too be setting goals for the following year.
What are your goals and what have your achievements been this year?

    Thank!

Not committing mass murder would be my main goal.

    Going well so far.

I went back to education and I moved into my new house with my boyfriend :D I am fully independent and earning my own money paying my way own way through life. I also have gained so much confidence over the past few months and loving the person I have become since this year.

Can't wait for 2011 and all it has in store so much travelling :D

Always wanted to see Halloween on the big screen, did that this year.

My number 1 goal of ever year is to have sex with a hot Italian girl, so I'll keep that one going, ya never know.

Most likely this time next year I will be posting something like:

"Seen Withnail & I on the big screen, always wanted to see that and did so this year.

My number 1 goal of ever year is to have sex with a hot Italian girl, so I'll keep that one going, ya never know
    ."

Got a job, got a car.

Next year, get a better car, get a better job, get a social life back again, try to enjoy myself even just a bit.

Hmm my goals for this year were:
i'd hoped i wouldn't be made redundant. That didn't happen.

    I'd hoped i'd have a new car-definitely didn't happen.

I was looking forward to my holiday in America-had to cancel it.

Thought maybe i'd find myself a man. Still single..

So i think next year, bar getting a job, i'm not gonna set any goals, and if anything else happens it'll be a nice surprise :D

Achievements eh... Well I got my grade 8 in music theory in June, failed to get any official part-time work at all and started running last month. I also discovered a lot about myself, much that I didn't want to know, and wasted a lot of time.

All in all, a fairly disappointing start to the new decade.

    finished a year's contract work in London and left with good experience, good references and an open door as well as some new friends;

    returned to Ireland to begin work in a decently paid and relatively secure job;

visited Moscow and caught up with some friends in Austria; and

    got laid a few times.

    Good year overall.

Quit my call centre supervisor job in London to move home and do a masters last Oct, something I wanted to do for a long time. People said I was 'mad' to leave the job.

A year and a bit on, got a 2.1 last week and I was just offered the job of my dreams this afternoon. I'm just so god damn happy right now. I no longer have to wait tables/serve drinks after 12 years of being boomeranged in and out of the same jobs. Dubliners, Londoners and New Yorkers, it's been fun serving you but I have been waiting for this moment for so, so long. :)

Never give up hope or self-belief, no matter who tries to bring you down or how dire the circumstances may seem. You'll get there eventually. Right, I'm off to get hammered and do the chicken dance at a wedding.

This year....I survived. Nothing broke. Took some nice photos. Had some fantastic sailing. Holidayed in Wexford...and enjoyed it!

Next Year. Quit smoking. Go to gym at least twice a week. Get out of the doldrums somehow.

Sloppy seconds with OutlawPetes Italian girl sounds nice, too.

    I got a 1.1 degree :D

I'm not one to brag, but since you asked.

Em other than that, my life is still pretty much a mess, just a different kind of mess than it was last year.

My goal for next year is to make it less of a mess :o

Went to Toronto with my better half.

Tons of very enjoyable metal gigs! (Great year for those so t'was).

Proposed to my (now) Fiancé in front of EVERYONE (family/friends). Fantastic feeling! (Even though I was absolutely sh!tting it).

Currently in the throes of learning to drive (been relying on public transport for far too long!).

Kicked off the cobwebs and back drumming again.

Next year I'll hopefully be driving/more travelling/gigging and general malarkey with m'lady! (B'dawwwwwwwwwwww).
