What are you wearing to the work Christmas Party?!

Well, if you're lucky enough to have a job at the moment, then you're probably unlucky enough to be stressing about what to wear! Mine is Sunday week and, by the sounds of it, this one is gonna be even more casual than the last couple years, which were pretty casual anyway. For relaxation, this is a good thing but I want everyone to get fancy! We only ever see each other in our work clothes really, it'd be nice if everyone got a little fancy... And I was even thinking of hanging up my cons for the night and wearing shoes! This denotes special occasion in itself!

Anyway, I'm babbling. If I decide to buy into the casual thing, I've got a nice new shirt I can wear with my new River Island skinny jeans and black cons. But I might just get dressy anyway. Fcuk the rest of them, it's Christmas!

    Whatcha gonna wear?

I'm wearing a cream dress I bought last week. Debating whether to wear it with shoes or boots.

Mine's in a hotel and it will be the first Christmas party I'm attending with this company so I've no idea how formal/informal it will be.

Ours is black tie! Was panicking a bit until I remembered I bought a nude coloured lace dress in the Quinn & Donnelly sale last January for €63, down from €283! Sorted!

Gonna wear this dress with (I think) either lace tights, black tights or bare legged.. It's been too cold upstairs to be playing dress-up to figure this out yet :(

Apparently we are not having a staff party this year :( Blah blah blah recession.

We just got news today that we are having a carnival themed party. Can't wait! I am wearing a dress I bought for my birthday. They have some vague dress code like 'party style'.

Gonna go for an LBD myself! The one I wore to my 21st. Hopefully I'll have my pink shoes by then, if not will have to pick up a pair. We're heading to the dogs at Harold's Cross.

Think I'm going to wear this with some dark tights and black heels. Our xmas party is pretty informal, so anything goes tbh.

This is really elegant! I've been looking for something along these lines. I work in a small office so we'll probably go for a meal instead of a "party". I've another couple of family occasions coming up and I'd love a chic little number like this.

Sigh, can't find anything I like in the shops :(

Ooh, good thread! I am the only female in our workplace with about 15 men, which is good in some ways as it means I can pretty much wear what I like without worrying about standing out. But it would be nice to have someone else to gossip about clothes with! We go for a meal and then the pub, we go out in Cork city and no matter what I wear, I am always stunned by the flashy and skimpy clothes the girls in the city wear!

I am wearing either of these two: (the orange one isn't the exact same as mine, also mine is a dark purple)

Free delivery at the moment! I love the New Look dress someone posted on the first page but I tried it on at the weekend and what with my builder's shoulders (i.e. huuuuge for a girl) I have to keep those bits covered up.

Except I really need to try stuff on before I buy. Less to do with the size, but how things will look on me! The search goes on. I'm keeping a close eye on this thread for inspiration!
