Looking for suggestions for where to sell 2 vintage fur coats.....

Have 2 fur coats that were left to my by my grandmother and since i will never wear them was hoping to sell them to help pay for my college registration fees next year! Have looked on ebay but dont think it is a specialised enough site to sell them on.

Was hoping for names of good sites to sell them on or vintage shops in dublin that buy them.

Also any ideas on how much they would sell for? One is mink and the other is rabbit i think, both have only been worn once or twice and are in perfect condition.

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated :)

Hi pipi, you're best off bringing them to a furriers to have them valued and they'll be able to tell you where to go from there. AFAIK there are two in Dublin CC- Barnardo beside Molly Malone, and another one I can't remember the name of opposite the Harelquinn at the back entrance to the George's St Arcade.

I saw a pile of vintage fur on sale in the vincent de Paul on Camden St last year and they were selling for no more than €15 but you might get lucky if you try ebay.

Ams is right, you won't get much for them. One of the vintage shops in Powerscourt often has furs and they're top quality - clean, no damage, no musty smell, perfect. They're rarely priced above €80.
